In early 2023, Cisco announced the official end-of-life for Cisco Prime Infrastructure (PI). Prime was typically used when a customer wanted to aggregate a distributed network of Cisco's high-end components and minimize NetOps configuration and maintenance efforts. Because this network automation solution has been used primarily as a Day 0 and Day 1 provisioning tool for certain Cisco-branded product lines, its scope, device support, and scalability have always been very limited.
